NFL Gambling: Week 3

A perfect week last week. 4/4 on my predictions, even Smokin’ Jay. That puts me at 7/8 thus far, so let’s keep this momentum going and keep winning you money.

First up, we have the Thursday night game, which again is very intriguing to me. The Rams go on the road to San Fran and are giving 3 points. For those of you that don’t know, the 49ers have not scored a touchdown this year. I am aware that’s against the Seahawks and Panthers, but the Rams have a great defense, too. I don’t know if the Niners can pop their touchdown cherry this week, and if they do, there won’t be many of them. Rams -3.

Next up we have another away game – Broncos vs. Bills, in Buffalo. The Broncos are favored by 3 in this matchup of defensive-minded teams. I’m aware the Broncos are traveling east for a 1 pm game… and coming off of a big win, but the Bills are really bad offensively. Like, painful to watch bad. I’m not sure how a team that just beat the Cowboys would lose to Tyrod Taylor, no matter what the circumstances are. I’m rolling with Denver. Broncos -3.

So this pick could be bold. It’s another away team! Pittsburgh goes to Chicago and is given 7 points against the Bears with Glennon at the helm. This is specifically scary because Pittsburgh seems to play down to any opponent. BUT, all you need to know is that they have Big Ben, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown as opposed to Mike Glennon, Tarik Cohen (Jordan Howard is questionable), and Kendall Wright. Sign me up for that. Steelers -7

Getting away from the 1 o’clock games, let’s go to Sunday night, where the Raiders travel east to visit the Redskins. Oakland is favored by 3 in this matchup. The Raiders are really, really, really, really good at football. Khalil Mack scares me while I sit on the couch and he plays across the country. I will be leaving Washington D.C. for this matchup because I’m so afraid of Mack, not to mention the fact that I think Derek Carr is a generational talent. Let’s roll with the road teams! Raiders -3

BONUS GAME ALERT! I usually only throw out 4 games, but the Monday Night game is almost too easy in my opinion. Guys, Dallas is still really good. The Cardinals just used overtime to beat Jacoby Brissett and the Colts. Jacoby Brissett. And the Colts. This is downright ridiculous. Dallas should be given like 8 points here, but they are only given 3. They will blow that up. Cowboys -3

Look, I did just pick 5 away teams, two of which are traveling to the other side of the country. But I do not care. I think these lines are just ludicrous. I’m looking for another perfect week here and you should roll with me.
