The gambling world is crazy and unpredictable. Backdoor covers, buzzer beaters, and just tough nights shooting the rock all make gambling successfully nearly impossible. Luckily, I’m here.
PJ had the tough task of giving the best gambling advice in the world, like I’ve done on a consistent basis. Well, he went 0/2, which is just disrespectful to the amazing record I have compiled on my gambling pieces. So, I’ll do my best to make this gambling piece great again.
It’s a boring day to gamble on college basketball. Regular season play is just about done and conference tournaments are starting up. There is action between two of the top 25, so let’s take a look. Iowa State goes on the road to take on West Virginia. So, here I am. Forced to give advice about gambling on Deonte Burton. Will I be correct? Almost certainly not, so do the opposite. The line at -7.5 in favor of WVU. I think Monte Morris will be able to handle the pressure of West Virginia, but I do see fatigue being a factor here. So, here’s how this game goes. The Mountaineers come out hot and take a 3 point lead into halftime. The Cyclones will give you a scare by coming out on fire in the second half, taking the lead. With about 10 minutes left, fueled by a 45 year old Jevon Carter and the glorious flow of Nathan Adrian, WVU will make a run to take back the lead and bury a tired Iowa State team in the second half. WVU -7.5.
Now let’s have some fun. In the Big South semis, we see Radford matched up with Campbell. Radford was beaten by the Fighting Camels of Campbell not too long ago, but the game was played at The Desert (If this isn’t already the nickname for the home stadium of the Fighting Camels, it is now). For those of you that didn’t know, Campbell won yesterday in a nail biter, thanks to Chris Clemons’ 51 points! It was the best of the best for fun, small conference tournaments. I think this game is going to be close (because it’s the conference tournament, so it’s a law that games are close), and it appears Vegas agrees with their -1 line in favor of the Highlanders. I can’t bet against the Fighting Camels for a million reasons. How many are basketball related? Like 2, maybe 3. Regardless, you’d be wise to take Campbell at +1 here. A fighting camel is not to be messed with, your wallet will thank you.
